I started showing steers and pigs in third grade and stayed with it through high school graduation. Those years gave me a lasting appreciation for the work, responsibility, preparation, and dedication behind every animal that enters the ring.
Along the way, I was fortunate to win many shows and buckles—including Grand Champion at the San Antonio pig show. The banners and awards were special, but they represented much more than one day at a show. They reflected the time and effort that went into the animals long before show day arrived.
None of those wins happened alone. My family was beside me every step of the way, and every success I had was possible because of their time, hard work, encouragement, and sacrifice. Those accomplishments belonged to all of us, and I will always be grateful to them.
That experience is why I created Showstock. Individual exhibitors, families, breeders, and show teams need one dependable place to keep their animals, genetics, breeding information, daily work, growth, expenses, schedules, and show results connected.
